A new program dubbed “Girls Empowerment Movement and Sisterhood” or GEMS was officially launched on Wednesday, August 31st, by the Ministry of Social Development and Gender Affairs (St. Kitts), under the theme “Girls Under Construction – Building a Firm Foundation for a Stronger Future.”
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Social Development and Gender Affairs, Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, said at the Opening Ceremony, he was elated about the program:
