The 2026 Nevis Prospective Teachers Course began today Monday, June 15^th, 2026.

According to the Department of Education, interested candidates were asked to register at the department situated at Marion Heights by Wednesday, May 27^th, 2026.

To qualify, candidates were to submit a minimum of 5 CSEC Subjects at General Proficiency Grades 1 to 3 or a minimum of 5 GCE O’ Level passes.

Required subjects include: English A, Mathematics, Social Studies, History, Geography, and Science Subjects along with 1 additional subject.

This course targets school leavers, private sector educators and persons seeking to transition to the education sector.

 The course will run until Friday, June 26^th, 2026.
