The Nevis Historical and Conservation Society held its Open Day at the Nelsons Spring and Fort Ashby Wetlands on Saturday, September 10th.
This location is home to an on-going project aimed at rehabilitating the wetlands mangrove areas and transforming it into a tourist attraction.
THE VONNEWSLINE recently spoke with Project Coordinator of the Nelsons Spring and Fort Ashby Wetlands, Mr. Keithley Amory who gave us this reason for the OPEN day:
The Open Day took place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and an introductory overview was held at Fort Ashby’s site at 9:00 a.m.
