NHCS to host Essay Competition, allowing teenagers to express views on voting
The Nevis Historical and Conservation Society (NHCS) in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Bridgetown, Barbados, will be holding an Essay Competition on the topic: “Voting: A Right and a Responsibility”
The competition will facilitate students between the ages of 12 and 18 to voice their views and insight on civic responsibility.
Furthermore, this comes as the Nevis Island Assembly Elections is looming and is scheduled for Monday Dec. 12th. While providing details to the VONNEWSLINE on the competition, Director of the NHCS, Ms. Jahnel Nisbett encouraged students of Nevis to participate:

Essay submissions must be between 800 and 1,200 words and should be sent via email to info@nevisheritage.org or delivered in person to the Museum of Nevis’ History office.
