During Tuesday evening’s edition of the Let’s Talk Programme, a discussion on the status of renewable energy on Nevis came to the fore.
With talks still ongoing in the public domain regarding Geothermal Energy and the possible benefits, downfalls and progress of the project, the status of the Wind Farm in Maddens, St. James’ Parish was questioned. One inquiry put forward spoke to the “disuse” of the present renewable energy infrastructure while trying to introduce another, in the form of geothermal. Is the resource going to waste while focus is being placed on starting another renewable project on the island?
