NIA “committed to banning single-use plastic and Styrofoam” in 2020

This also forms part of his Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM)-led Administration’s effort to end single-use plastic here on Nevis.

According to thebalancesmb.com, every year approximately 1.6 million barrels of oil are used for producing plastic water bottles. Plastic waste is one of many types of wastes that takes very long to decompose and can take up from 10 to 1,000 years to decompose.

In light of this, the Honorable Premier made this statement.
