NIA “engaged in discussions with new company…to do drilling”, as efforts continue to meet the need of water

Minister with responsibility for Water Services here on Nevis, the Hon. Spencer Brand announced that the Nevis Island Administration (NIA), began discussions with a new company to carry out drilling work, as the NIA continues in its efforts to meet the demand of water.

Back in 2007, the Bedrock Exploration and Development Technologies (BEAD), signed a 10-year contract with the former Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) led NIA, to explore water on the island.  

 

Under the BEAD contract, the company was expected to deliver one million gallons of ground water daily to compliment the current supply that was being made available to the island.
