NIA launches retirement package for Non-Established Workers
Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Mark Brantley, speaking on August 30th.
Premier Brantley, first made the announcement of a policy being organized for the workers on May 16th 2022.
Since then, an Auxiliary Pension Committee was put in place to create a pension policy for the 1,000 Non-Established (NE) or Government Auxiliary Employees (GAE) on Nevis.
This was implemented, according to Mr. Brantley because NE workers “have long campaigned for greater security”. NE workers were not entitled to pension or other benefits.
