What is the status of Nevis’ Treasury, in the midst of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic?

The economic crisis unleashed by the outbreak of COVID-19 is hurting economies, irrespective of income level. Here in St. Kitts & Nevis, people have been laid off but in an effort to provide a spur in the local economy, the Federal Government announced a $120 million dollar stimulus package.

This includes: Social Security’s COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund, which was created to assist all working persons whose income have been directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, by providing a payment of up to EC$ 1,000 monthly for three months in the first instance (April, May and June).
