As the countdown continues for the 52nd celebration of Sugar Mas, the St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee have revealed the junior Calypsonians competing in this year’s Junior Calypso Monarch Competition.

This year’s will mark the competition’s 50th anniversary and will see five primary school junior Calypsonians aged 9-12, for the Primary School Calypso Monarch and fourteen secondary school Calypsonians, aged 13-17 for the Secondary School Calypso Monarch.

The primary school Calypsonians are Princess Kali, Prince Khi, Prince DJ, Lady Faith and Mighty Zen. The secondary school contenders are Lady B, Dequon, Divi, Mighty J, Energetic I, Junior Jazz, De Herald, Princess Al, Star Boy Nicholas, Mighty QJ, Erastus, Mighty H, Princess Nevaeh and Lega-Z.

The event will take place on Sunday, 10th December at the Marriott Resort Plaza at 5 pm.
