No Approval granted for bus fare increase on Nevis
No Approval granted for bus fare increase on Nevis
Following a release from the Nevis Bus Association, which stated an increase in the Bus Fare on the island as of Monday April 4th, Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Stedmond Tross has told the VONNEWSLINE what is the NIA’s view on the matter:
Notwithstanding the current rise in the cost of goods and services in St. Kitts-Nevis and the world over, the VONNEWSLINE asked Mr. Tross if bus operators decide to increase the bus fare on the island, what will the NIA do?
Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Stedmond Tross.
The Premier of Nevis also spoke on the matter, indicating to the Association to put a hold on the matter. As it stands, from the Government’s perspective the price in fare remains the same, (for example short stops – ($2.50).
