A notice relating to a change in the road network on Nevis, specifically the portion of Government Road from Main Street to the junction of Jews Street in Charlestown has been put on hold, a spokesperson from the Traffic Department on the island says.
The notice issued late month stated “effective Monday, April 11th, the portion of Government Road from Main Street to the junction of Jews Street in Charlestown has now become a One-Way with traffic.”
The traffic therefore was anticipated to flow in an easterly direction and traffic flowing from the top of Government Road towards Charlestown would have had to make a right turn unto Jew Street.
The traffic spokesperson told the VONNEWSLINE that “the notice has been put on hold, until further notice.”
Hence, in the meantime, the road network in the above-mentioned area (inclusive of Maude Cross Prep), remains as is.
