St. Kitts and Nevis will join the rest of the world in celebration of International Men’s Day (IMD), under the theme “Better relations between men and women.”
Men’s Day is an annual international event celebrated on the 19th of November. It is an occasion to celebrate boys’ and men’s achievements and contributions, in particular for their contributions to nation, society, community, family, marriage, and childcare. The broader and ultimate aim of the event is to promote basic humanitarian values.
The day also celebrates worldwide, the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities as well as highlight positive role models and raise awareness of men’s well-being.
Gender Affairs Officer in the Department of Gender Affairs-Nevis, Mr. Mario Phillip, spoke of an event that will be hosted on the Nov. 19th.
