The Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) held its 52nd Anniversary Cocktail and Awards Ceremony on Friday, October 28th, at the Occasions Entertainment Center on Nevis.
Deputy Leader of the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP), Hon. Cleone Stapleton-Simmonds was a guest on last Monday’s ‘Your Voice with the NRP’ program. Hon. Simmonds said that a total of five persons received the NRP Founders Award for their sterling contribution towards the party.
She also explained the significance of the award:
The recipients are Floris Finley of St. Paul’s Parish, Eric Stapleton of St. John’s, Miguel Mills – St. George’s, Trevor Cornelius also known as “Carbo” of St. James’ and Ermine “Yvonne” Farrell of the parish of St. Thomas’.
During the program, Hon. Stapleton-Simmonds also commented on the Opening of Parliament that was held at the St. Kitts Marriott on October 25th in relation to the ratio of men to women in Parliament:
