NRP speaks on irregularities at Electoral Office; Candidate for St. John’s says change must be made before next election

The Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) held a Protest and Rally last Friday in Charlestown as the new Supervisor of Elections, Mr. Oaklyn Peets made his 1st official visit to the Electoral Office on Nevis. The party is requesting for a number of changes to be made before the upcoming local election that is due by March 2023, the latest.

 

 

During Monday’s “Your Voice with the NRP”, NRP’s candidate for Nevis #2 (St. John’s Parish), Dr. Patricia Bartlette, said that her party has already requested a few changes but has not received a response. She continued by stating why it was necessary for the protest:

The Supervisor of Elections assumed his new role on November 1st, 2022.

 

 

 

Mr. Peets said that the purpose of Friday’s visit was to meet with key stakeholders to ensure that the logistics and all strategies are put in place to ensure a smooth, fair and fine election.
