NRP’s Dr. Patricia Bartlette files election petition challenging Dec. 12th elections results

Dr. Patricia Bartlette of the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP), has filed an Election Petition to challenge the results of the Dec. 12th 2022 Nevis Island Assembly Election.

NRP’s Leader, Dr. Janice Daniel-Hodge, confirmed to the VONNEWSLINE that the petition was indeed filed. In addition, NRP’s Daniel-Hodge told the VONNEWSLINE that the party is not in favor of the “outcome” of the 2022 Election, where the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) Party won 3 seats, while NRP won 2 seats.

But, the VONNEWSLINE contacted CCM’s Leader, Premier Mark Brantley, who said although he got “word” about the petition, he “cannot comment on the matter” because he has not been made aware of the specifics.

Furthermore, CCM’s Leader Mr. Brantley, indicated that when the details are made clear, he “will comment further.”

NRP’s Leader mentioned that a statement will also be issued.
