Eugene Ezekiel Davis, 49, of Main Street, Old Road, St. Kitts was formally charged for the offence of murder on Tuesday, June 3^rd, 2025 by the officers of the Violent Crime Unit (VCU).

This was in relation to a recent fatal stabbing incident, which took place on Saturday, May 31^st, at approximately 12:30 a.m., at the food court in Port Zante, Basseterre, St. Kitts.

The incident involved Jason Sylvester Gilbert-Riley of Middle Island, St. Kitts. Police have told VONNEWSLINE that an altercation occurred between Mr. Davis and Gilbert. Mr. Gilbert succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at approximately 7:00 a.m.

This was St. Kitts and Nevis 3^rd homicide for 2025.

 The investigation is still ongoing.
