One arrested and charged for Robbery in St. Kitts

The Police have released a statement stating that Akeem Sage of Central Fiennes Avenue, McKnight, St. Kitts, has been arrested and charged with the offence of Robbery.

 

 

 

The criminal act in question was committed on April 29th, 2023. He was charged following the execution of a search warrant on his home on May 12th, 2023. The warrant permitted the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) and the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) to search Mr. Sage’s home and its immediate environs for weapons, illegal drugs, and other items suspected of being used in the commission of a crime.

 

 

 

According to the release, the search of his home resulted in the discovery of one (1) Smith & Wesson Revolver Handgun whose barrel contained five (5) .32 calibre rounds of live ammunition. The search was extended to an abandoned building adjacent to Mr. Sage’s home.

 

 

 

This search resulted in the finding of one (1) “Jansport” backpack along with a mask and other articles of clothing. These and other items of evidential value were collected by the Crime Scene Unit of the RSCNPF.

 

 

 

In an update, new charges have been brought forth against Akeem Sage of Central Fiennes Avenue, Basseterre, St. Kitts. Mr. Sage received an additional three (3) charges for Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition, and another charge for Robbery.

 

 

 

The offences were committed on Friday May 12th at his place of residence, while the second Robbery charge is for a previous offence that was committed on April 25th, 2023 at Cayon Street.

 

 

 

These three (3) charges bring the total number of charges against Mr. Sage to four (4) to date, as he previously received a Robbery charge for an offence committed on April 29th, 2023.
