One man who was initially charged with the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition, has been found not guilty but, guilty on another.
Thorne Flemming of Old Road, St. Kitts, has been sentenced to five years imprisonment following proceedings at the High Court of St. Kitts and Nevis on August 31st, 2026, presided over by His Lordship Justice Patrick Thompson Jr.
On Apr. 27th 2025, authorities executed a search on Flemmings premises, which led to the recovery of one (1) Beretta 9mm pistol and fourteen (14) matching rounds of ammunition, in addition to the discovery of a large number of Cannabis plants.
In a press release dated May 1st 2025, he was charged with the offences of Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition, and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. However, His Lordship Thompson Jr. returned the following verdicts and sentence:
Possession of a Firearm: Not Guilty, Possession of Ammunition: Not Guilty and Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply: Guilty. He was sentenced to five years imprisonment. Time spent on remand will count towards his sentence.
