Some 614 men were screened, during Urology Associates’ 14th annual Prostate Screening exercise on Saturday Jan. 18th, at the Occasions center here on Nevis.
The screening was a process used to detect undiagnosed prostate cancer in men without signs or symptoms. The VONNEWSLINE spoke with Dr. Dwayne Thwaites of Urology Associates after the exercise, who gave us this comment.
With respect to the prevalence of late stages of prostate cancer, Dr. Thwaites said that has been reduced.
