Mr. James said that to date, some $EC 750,000 has been made available for use of the project.

He stated that judicious trapping, selective shooting, use of scare gadgets and other deterrents as well as electric fences, have been facilitated by the Agriculture department.

Although the project was designed to assist farmers, consideration will be given to assist homeowners who are negatively affected by the monkeys.
