PAM (People’s Action Movement) has extended “deepest condolences” on the passing of Lady Sheila Daniel.

PAM said on Facebook she was “a remarkable woman who stood alongside her late husband, Sir Simeon Daniel, the first Premier of Nevis and an instrumental leader in forming the historic coalition government with PAM in 1980.”

Following the formation of the coalition government, Mr. Daniel assumed the portfolios of Minister of Finance and Nevis Affairs in 1980.

PAM also stated “she was loved and respected, dedicating many years of service to the Philatelic Bureau in Charlestown and faithfully serving as the organist for her Church in St. Thomas Parish. May her family and loved ones find comfort during this difficult time.”
