As both the school term and Flu Season continue, parents are being encouraged to closely monitor their children during the time period and to desist from sending sick students to school.

During the Youth on the Go Programme on Saturday, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education-Nevis, Zahnela Claxton implored all parents to refrain from the practice as it only puts other students and staff of the schools at risk of contracting the flu and compromising the efficiency of the Education System.

She added that based on the new practices and policies that were used during the onset of the Covid 19 Pandemic, students, parents and teachers should be equipped with information and experience in reducing the transmission of diseases in public spaces:
