Ms. Violet O. Jeffers Nicholls celebrated her birthday on Friday, January 26th. Ms. Jeffers-Nicholls who hails from Mt. Lilly Village in St. James’ Parish, Nevis, is well known across the island for her stellar contribution to the development of Education.
Ms. Nicholls retired after some forty-two years in the teaching profession in 1987. She also would have risen to the challenge in becoming the first Education Officer on the island. In 2004, the Combermere Primary School was renamed in her honor to the Violet O. Jeffers Nichols Primary School.
