PEO Claxton gives update on “phased reopening of schools”

After almost 5-6 months, students, teachers and parents saw the commencement of the 2020/21 academic year here in St. Kitts and Nevis, on Monday, September 7th, 2020.

 

While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to grapple the world, the Federal Ministry of Education has prepared for the return of students to their learning institutions and several protocols have been implemented to cater to their health and safety.  

 

The steps that will be taken to safeguard students, staff and visitors, which include: the wearing of masks upon arrival at the school compounds that covers both your nose and mouth, daily temperature checks (the results will be recorded in a screening record book), inter alia.

Meantime, during a COVID-19 Briefing on Nevis, Ms. Claxton said the Early Childhood centers here on the island opened on Monday, September 7th, 2020.
