Persons in SKN are asked to adhere to Speed Limits when driving

That was Sergeant Sophia Henry, while addressing the public on the increase
of drivers caught speeding and vehicular accidents taking place because of
the dangerous practice in the federation.

The sergeant also urged persons to practice general safety when driving and
added that by decreasing a vehicle’s speed, can assist in better control of
one’s vehicle.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit in built up areas that are towns,
communities, etc. is 20mph while the limit on the outskirt areas is 40mph.
The fine for speeding in St. Kitts and Nevis is $EC 250.00 for the first 10mph
over the speed limit, while an extra $100.00 will be added-on for every extra
10mph.
