Phase 2 of the Island’s Main Road Rehabilitation Project from Cliff Dwellers to Nisbett Plantation on Nevis has been completed.

So says Minister of Communications and Works, the Hon. Spencer Brand. While providing details about the project on Thursday July 6th, he spoke of the main objectives.

The Nevis Island Administration (NIA) signed an $11.7 million dollar contract for the project, with Surrey Paving & Aggregate Company Caribbean Ltd. in October 2022.

The project covers 1.5 km of road from Cliffdwellers Estate to the Nisbet’s Bridge, and 0.9 km of road from Shaws Road to Nisbett Plantation. The first phase of the enhancement project was completed in 2019.
