PLP condemns Labour-led administration’s recent salary increase

People’s Labour Party (PLP) has condemned the Labour-led administration for the passing of the Salary Review Resolution.

The resolution was unanimously passed at the last sitting of the National Assembly on February 22nd. As such, the Governor-General, Parliamentarians and the Prime Minister will receive salary increases (with the average being a 25 percent increase).

During the Party’s press conference on Tuesday March 6th, PLP’s Leader, Dr. Timothy Harris, condemned the government for utilizing what he deemed an outdated Salaries Review report, which was done in 2019 in a different context and when the economy was doing very well.
