Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew issued a statement via social media following SKN’s latest fatal accident. Dr. Simoneth Williams of St. Peter’s, St. Kitts, died in a road accident on (Friday night) Dec. 20^th, taking the number of road fatalities to 12 for the year.

PM said “I was awakened by the sad news that Dr. Simoneth Williams lost her life in a tragic accident. Dr. Williams was a recent graduate of medical sciences from the esteemed Cuban medical system.”

Dr. Drew, who is also the Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher #8 (St. Peter’s Parish, Conaree, Cayon etc.) added “although getting confirmed as a medical doctor is one of the most tedious civil service processes, it was my privilege to sign and confirm all documents, ushering her officially into the medical profession and starting her journey as a medical doctor.”

He extended condolences to her mother and everyone else affected by the tragic loss and made an appeal “for road safety to be taken very seriously.”
