PM Drew offers words of encouragement and support to SKN Students attending UWI in Barbados
Prime Minister and Minister of Human Resource Management, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, attended the 48th CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting, from February 19th to 21st, 2025 in Barbados.
While there, he, along with his spouse, Mrs. Diani Prince-Drew, met with the Nevisian and Kittitian students attending the University of the West Indies.
PM Drew urged the students to not only use their time at the university for educational growth but as an opportunity to create meaningful connections with the other students across the Caribbean Region.
In a social media post, Dr. Drew highlighted the government’s commitment to the development of youths, and making education a priority.
He stated, “Through the Graduate Finance Project, we have made higher education more accessible by reducing student loan interest to five percent with a grace period”.
He concluded, “We will continue to prioritize education and support the next generation of leaders from St. Kitts and Nevis as we work towards a Sustainable Island State.”
