As the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis continues to grapple with the crime rate, Prime Minister – Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew has sort to address the nation on the issue:
On Tuesday (June 6th), the public woke up to the news of murder #15 that took place on the F.T. Williams Highway. Pictures that are circulating on social media indicate that the victim was shot in a black van and murder #16 which occurred a few hours later where a man was seen laying on a pavement in St. Kitts.
But for safety, what’s next? What will we expect from the national security force? Here’s Dr. Drew:

Leader of the Federal Opposition, Hon. Mark Brantley, as he addressed the issue of the recent upsurge in crime.
Minister Brantley went on to say that the pressing situation is not a government problem, opposition problem nor political party problem but an all-of-society problem which is left unchecked, can derail all progress made as a nation.
He also urged the Prime Minister to put certain measures in place to counter the series of nefarious activities and also pledged the support of the CCM party-led opposition:
