Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Dr. Terrance Drew gave an update on the “ELEVATE” programme, which was dubbed the Alternative Lifestyle Pathways Programme, commonly referred to as the Peace Programme.

Under the Peace programme, introduced in March 2019 by the-then Team Unity Administration, the aim was to help at-risk individuals and gang members, to make a transition from a life of crime to a productive lifestyle.

Under “ELEVATE”, there are three options namely: elevation through training and certification, elevation through capacity building (or development of skills) and elevation through entrepreneurship. The Programme was officially launched on Thursday Dec. 21st, 2023.
