PM Drew urges OECS Leaders to capitalize on collective bargaining power

SKN’s Prime Minister the Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, in an address during the 7th Sitting of the OECS Assembly on Tuesday June 17, emphasized the importance of regional unity among OECS Member States for achieving collective benefits.

 

 

Speaking in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, he highlighted the advantages of collaboration, particularly in healthcare procurement, citing the accessibility and affordability of insulin as a success story. Drew urged leaders to consider similar collective efforts in energy procurement to reduce costs.

 

 

PM Drew also spoke about his commitment to fostering cooperation within the Federation, reflecting on his bipartisan approach to the geothermal energy project on Nevis. His call for political maturity and unified action resonated as he concluded with a reminder of the benefits of collaboration for the entire region.
