Prime Minister, the Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, led a delegation to Grenada to participate in the AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF2025) from July 28th to 29th.
The forum is a flagship initiative of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) to drive commercial, economic and cultural ties between Africa and the Caribbean.
During a high-level discussion between African and fellow Caribbean leaders, PM Drew, advocated for the removal of visa barriers which are present hinderances to developing collaboration in not only trade but other areas such as education.

Meantime – During the fourth AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF2025), Prime Minster Drew signed a Heads of Terms Agreement with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank).
Under the agreement, the Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis intends to access up to $50 million US dollars for the proposed: “Education Construction and Rehabilitation Climate-Linked Facility”.
The heads of terms shows the mutual intention of both parties to immediately discuss and conclude financing proposals.
The facility is intended to finance construction of social infrastructure, electricity, roads, schools and other upgrades.
