As part of measures to improve the quality of life for the citizens and residents of St. Kitts & Nevis, Prime Minister – Dr. Timothy Harris who says it is “important”, mentioned this in his Labour Day Address on May 2nd:
According to the Prime Minister, “this is another clear example, in our investing in the people, as we put more money in the pockets of a large number of our citizens and residents.”
The initiative will benefit 4,000 salaried civil servants, 1,064 GAE’s (Government Auxiliary Employees), 1,365 pensioners, 2,800 Skills Training Empowerment Programme (STEP) Workers, and is anticipated to contribute to the economic recovery in the Federation.
