Following the June 5th General Elections here in St. Kitts and Nevis, a STEP or (Skills Training Empowerment Program) Regularization and Pensions Reform Committee was immediately established and to make recommendations to ensure that the Team Unity Government’s promises, which were made to STEP workers and government auxiliary employees (GAE’s) are fulfilled.
In June (just couple of days before St. Kitts and Nevis’ Federal elections), Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris announced that under his Team Unity Administration nearly 5,000 STEP and GAE’s will be regularized by the 1st of July, and the 1st of September respectively.
