The Department of Youth and the Nevis Public Library Service is currently accepting entries for its Poetry Writing Competition, under the theme: “Self-Love, Embracing my Identity”.

The competition will be judged based on two categories namely: Primary Students; ages 9-11 and Secondary Students; ages 12-16.

Poems must incorporate the theme of Self Love, must have 120 words, be presented in a type written format and have an attached cover page entailing the participant’s name, age, school and grade or form.

Only one entry is allowed per student and the top three winners will be awarded prizes.

The deadline for entries will be Wednesday, March 15th, 2023 and should be submitted to the Department of Youth or the Nevis Public Library.

The winners will be announced on March 21st, 2023.
