Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) issued a statement on Sunday Mar. 22nd, debunking what it says is “a malicious publication”. Reports on social media say “a directive” was issued requiring several high-ranking officers and the members of the High Command to take their accumulated leave.
In response, the Police Force said it “is aware of a malicious publication currently in circulation alleging that members of the High Command are being forced into leave under the guise of an internal probe. This assertion is false and misleading.”
In a statement, RSCNPF stated “the current leave arrangements involving members of the High Command form part of a structured leave management initiative, implemented to address the accumulation of earned vacation leave.”
According to the Police Force, “the leave now being taken is planned and scheduled in accordance with established human resource policies and practices. There is no internal probe, no forced removal, and no directive requiring resignations.”
Lawmen have expressed that the Force fully operational and functionally stable.”
