The police in St. Kitts have once again open an investigation on a shooting incident, just 10 days after the execution of Jermaine Clarke, known to many as “Chubby” who was the lead singer of the Kollision Band.
This time, the police are investigating an attempted murder in the Buckley’s area following a shooting incident shortly after midnight on Tuesday, April 14th.
The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Jovan Hodge of Buckley’s Estate.
According to the police, preliminary investigations indicate that Hodge was near his residence between 12:00 and 12:30 a.m. when he was reportedly accosted and chased by one or more-armed assailants.
He sustained gunshot wounds to the chest, back, right arm, and left foot, but was able to make his way to the Joseph N. France General Hospital, where he received treatment.
Police say he is currently warded in stable condition.
The Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and collected items of evidential value. Anyone with information that can assist is being urged to contact the nearest police station or call Crime Stoppers at 707.
