Police investigates road accident at round-a-bout in Stoney Grove and on F.T. Williams Highway in St. Kitts

Police on Nevis has confirmed to the VONNEWSLINE of another road accident that transpired on Monday, June 26th, 2023.

 

 

 

This time, the accident took place along the island’s main road in the Stoney Grove region directly in the vicinity of the Round-A-bout.

 

 

 

The vehicles that were involved are Motor Jeep P-1563 that is owned and driven by Troye Nisbett of Jessup’s Village and Motor Car P-6852 owned and driven by Shavon Lawrence of Rawlins Village.

 

 

 

According to a report, circumstances surrounding the matter indicate that Mr. Nisbett was using the roundabout and Mr. Lawrence while travelling from the direction of Long Point, failed to stop.

 

 

 

Both vehicles collided as a result.

The police are yet again investigating another traffic accident in St. Kitts.

 

 

 

The accident occurred on Monday, June 26th, 2023 between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Kayanjet on the F.T. Williams Highway and involved Motor Van P-2504 that is owned by Collin Richards of Sandy Point and driven by Aaron Benjamin of Dieppe Bay and a Motor Bike that was driven by Leon Griffith of Monkey Hill.

 

 

 

Investigations revealed that Mr. Benjamin was travelling westwards along the F.T. Williams Highway and performed a U-Turn in the vicinity of KayanJet. As a result, Mr. Griffith who was also travelling in the same direction collided with the right side of the van.

 

 

 

Due to the impact, Mr. Griffith complained of pain to his right shoulder and hip. He is currently warded at the Joseph N. France General Hospital and is reported as being in a stable condition.
