In an update on Thursday’s accident involving two omnibuses, police say four persons sustained minor injuries.
On May 8th, between 12 noon and 12:30pm, the accident occurred along the island’s main road in St. Peter’s, St. Kitts, near the roundabout. The collision involved the omnibuses or passenger buses as they travelling from Monkey Hill to Basseterre.
It reportedly took place when one of the vehicles attempted to overtake the other, resulting in a side impact that caused one bus to swerve, flip and overturn.
A spokesperson for the police two passengers from the bus that overturned sustained minor injuries, the injuries of the driver of the second bus were unknown and one passenger from the second bus sustained minor injuries.
Emergency services responded and the injured persons were transported to the JNF Hospital for treatment.
