Police releases update on Monday’s double homicide

The VON NEWSLINE has received additional information from the police referencing St. Kitts and Nevis’ 13th & 14th murder victims.

 

 

 

According to a press release, initial investigations revealed that twenty-year-old (20) Vishawn Matthew of Taylor’s Village and forty-three-year-old (43) Kay Johnson-Bellile of Wades Garden were shot by assailant(s) in a vehicle while the two were seated on the side of the road.

 

 

 

The assailant(s) subsequently fled the area.

 

 

 

Both were pronounced dead on the scene by the District Medical Officer in St. Kitts on Monday. The Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and collected all items of evidential value.

 

 

 

The release also states that the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force extend sincere condolences to all who have been negatively impacted by this incident.

On Nevis, the police have confirmed an attempted break-in of the ATM that is adjacent to X-petrol Gas Station in St. James Parish. The incident occurred between 5am and 6am on Monday June 5th, 2023.
