Police to continue efforts in upholding Law and Order in 2020

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has reported some success in the fight against crime and violence here in St. Kitts and Nevis for the year 2019.

 

In making remarks at the Police New Year’s Celebration Service, Commissioner of Police, Hilroy Brandy listed a number of achievements which included a 48% reduction in homicides for 2019, when compared to 2018, the removal of 46 guns from the community, launching of the crime management system amongst other achievements.

 

In addressing those that were gathered at the event on January 9th 2020, Commissioner Brandy lauded the officers for their hard work and dedication for the past year.

 

 

Speaking on this year’s theme “Engaging and reassuring communities by improving our service” explaining that the theme encourages them to consider their profession as a service.

 

He further encouraged officers to practice necessary traits to continue building a stronger relationship with the community.
