The VON NEWSLINE has learnt of a traffic accident that occurred Tuesday morning on Nevis.

The accident involved a police officer that was riding a motor scooter.

The information that was received indicates that motor van P-9285 owned by Austin Lescott of Clay Ghaut and driven by Llewellyn Newton of Zion Village collided with PB-599 owned and driven by Constable Nabil Ali of Bath Village. The incident transpired in Stoney Grove in the vicinity of RSJ Enterprises.

Mr. Ali sustained a broken left arm, cuts and bruises as a result of being knocked off of his motor scooter
