“Premature to start a discussion” on Salary Increases for Healthcare workers, says Medical Chief of Staff
Questions regarding salary increases for Healthcare Workers have come to the fore, as the Coronavirus (CoVID-19) crisis continues to grip the world, particularly, St. Kitts and Nevis.
Healthcare workers (healthcare professionals) include those who work as a physician, nurse, psychologist, psychiatrist, etc.
But what is the view of the Health authorities here in St. Kitts and Nevis, regarding the salary increases of these workers, as they continue to administer care, in an effort to eliminate CoVID-19?
Medical Chief of Staff, Dr. Cameron Wilkinson at a recent CoVID-19 Briefing in St. Kitts, gave this perspective concerning wages increase.
Dr. Wilkinson added that discussions regarding wage increases will take place post-CoVID-19.
