On September 30th 2025, Premier Mark Brantley held his monthly press conference where he addressed several issues affecting Nevis. Among the highlights, he announced two new appointments to the Nevis Solid Waste Management Authority.

The Premier said he expects both new appointees to bring fresh energy and focus to the Solid Waste Management Authority as it works to improve services and address waste management challenges across Nevis. He also thanked the outgoing members for their service and dedication.
