Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Mark Brantley, has announced that the Nevis Island Administration has already started preparing the 2026 budget.

Premier Brantley made the disclosure during his monthly press conference held on September 30^th, 2025, noting that early preparation ensures that government departments have enough time to plan and align their priorities.

Premier Brantley explained that beginning the process early will allow his administration to better assess the island’s fiscal position and to incorporate input from ministries and departments in a more structured way.

He also highlighted that his approach supports transparency and timely delivery, ensuring that the budget is ready to be presented before the end of the year.

Premier Brantley further emphasized the government’s commitment to prudent financial management while continuing to invest in key development areas such as infrastructure tourism and healthcare.
