Premier of Nevis addresses increasing unlawful road behaviour
During the final airing of the “On The Mark” Program for 2024, which was held on Wednesday 11th Host and Nevis’ Premier, Hon. Mark Brantley expressed condolences to the family and friends of those who lost their lives in the recent series of traffic accidents in St. Kitts, and extended best wishes to those who were hospitalized, wishing them a speedy recovery.
He then addressed the irresponsible behaviors of many of the federations’ road users and urged law enforcement to crack down on unlawful road behavior and ensure people adhere to the rules of the road such as wearing seatbelts, refraining from phone usage, respecting speed limits etc.:
Mr. Brantley added that a number of bus drivers are responsible for some of the most reckless driving, often seen by many as racing against one another to get more passengers, and urged them to think about the multiple lives that they put at risk.
