According to Premier of Nevis Hon. Mark Brantley “The recent statistics show a drop in major crimes in Nevis by 15% this year and ALL categories of crime are down except robberies and drug possession.”

He addedthe “ homicides are down from 4 in 2021 to 1 in 2022, sexual offenses are down from 4 in 2021 to 1 in 2022 and possession of firearms is down from 6 in 2021 to 1 in 2022.”

In this light he extended these commendations to the Nevis High Command. he was quoted as saying “I take the time to salute the Nevis High Command and it’s Leadership headed by Superintendent James Sutton as well as the contingent of the army based on Nevis which assists with patrols. I also commend the leadership at the CCTV Command Center and the staff there.”
