Premier of Nevis reminds Public to buy and eat Local in response to recalled foreign lettuce infected with E-Coli

According to a notice from the US Food and Drug Administration published on Saturday, November 21^st, 2020 that states: “Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc. is voluntarily recalling a limited number of cases of organic romaine hearts.….. the recall is being conducted due to a possible health risk from E. coli in the two products. Dole Fresh Vegetables is coordinating closely with regulatory officials.”

Premier of Nevis and Senior Minister of Health, the Hon. Mark Brantley addressed the matter by reinforcing the general public to eat local produce:
